Senior Pastor - Dr. Mark Key
Welcome to Central United Methodist Church! I hope you are well on your way to experiencing the warmth, love and kindness that the Central family demonstrates in so many ways. This is one of the friendliest congregations around. It is my privilege to be the shepherd of such a great and active church. I love being a part of the lives of our people in times of birth, baptism, confirmation, marriage, sickness, death and all the joys and sorrows in between. I hope you find the sermons both inspiring and helpful to you in your spiritual journey. I hope you find the worship bringing you into God’s presence each week. I hope you will get involved and experience all of what God wants to give you. Thank you for choosing Central UMC as your church home. May God equip you for every good work!
Associate Pastor - Rev. Barry Queen
I am grateful to be a part of Central United Methodist Church as Associate Pastor. Central is a group of believers who are excited about their faith and committed to Christ’s mission in the world. Some of the major distinctions of our church are its emphasis on worship, its practical teaching of the Scriptures, the equipping of the saints for ministry, and outreach into the world. We are rooted in Biblical preaching and teaching with an emphasis on outreach in the community and world. I hope God is leading you to make Central your church home. We serve a living God who is alive and moving at Central and I would like for you to be a part of our church family.
Youth Pastor - Fred Huffstetler
Welcome! There are a lot of exciting things happening with our Children’s Ministry & Youth Program here at Central UMC. During the summer we offer our Kids Åhoy program for children in kindergarten through 5th grade. It’s a summer FULL of various activities and outings where our children learn through faith, fun and fellowship that they are precious to Jesus Christ and the church. Our Youth Program is for 6th through 12th graders and meets on Sunday evenings. In addition, our Youth Lunch Club meets during the summer, and the Breakfast Club meets each week during the school year to enjoy great fellowship, share prayer concerns, and encourage one another. Friends and visitors are always welcome! These are just a few of the opportunities available to our children and youth to help them in their faith journey. We have a wonderful team of Volunteers and Counselors working with both programs. If you have any questions — please give me a call!
Children's Ministries Director, Melody Queen
The main desire of Central's Children's Ministry is for each child from birth through grade 5 to discover that he/she holds a special place in the Kingdon of God by learning about Jesus and becoming more like Him. In Nursery,
Mrs. B's K-1 class, Lighthouse Sunday School (2nd - 5th graders), activities, leaders use drama, music, videos, games and interactive excercises to involve the children in learning Bible truths. This is accomplished in a safe and loving environment where children expeience that knowing and loving God's word is fun and exciting! As Director of Children's Ministries, I am blessed to partner with parents and volunteers in Central's Children's Ministries. We would love to get to know you and your family better!
Business Administrator - Patti Cahoon
